The first partner meeting for the project "Green Agenda Navigator – Empowering civil society to support development of climate neutral, resilient, resource efficient and competitive economies in the Western Balkans" took place from February 4 to 5, 2025, in Belgrade.
The project is implemented by the Belgrade Open School in cooperation with six regional partners: the Aarhus Centre Association in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Eco-Tim organization from Montenegro, the Eco-Z organization from Kosovo*, the Center for Environmental Research and Information Eko-Svest from North Macedonia, the Protection and Preservation of Natural Environment organization from Albania, and the CEE Bankwatch Network.
During the first day, participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the project’s goals, the timeline of activities, the logical framework, and the indicators that will be monitored over the next two years. Particular focus was placed on defining priorities for regional cooperation, exchanging views on the action plan for the first year, and developing a methodology for monitoring the implementation of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans at both national and regional levels.
The project, which runs until May 2027, aims to strengthen the capacities of civil society organizations to actively participate in the implementation of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans. Through advocacy, public policy monitoring, and enhanced cooperation, the project will contribute to a just and participatory transition toward climate-neutral and more resilient economies in the region, while fostering democratic values in the implementation process.
The Green Agenda Navigator project is supported by the European Union.
