66/67th edition of newsletter ‘Let’s Talk About Negotiations’

In this year’s last double edition, 66/67th, the Topic of the issue is focused on analysis of the work of National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in the context of Serbia's EU accession.

The article Serbia, National Assembly and the EU: Are there MPs in the Assembly?, analyses if at all and how National Assembly controls the negotiations within Serbia's EU accession process, and why MPs remain quiet regarding the bad state of European integration of Serbia. The Newsletter’s Focus is on the article Civil Society in the Process of European Integration: Corrective in Crisis, which gives you an overview of what BOS, together with partner organizations, have managed to do in 2020, having in mind all of the strange social circumstances. In the Column Gender Equality and Politics: Waiting for the essential changes, you will find out why the quotas on the electoral lists and the seemingly ‘feminist’ composition of the new Government of Serbia hadn’t contributed to gender equality in Serbia. In this issue, we Present the belated ”European Commission Report on Serbia: From Criticism to Recommendations“, where you can find an overview of Serbia's progress in the European integration process for 2020, as well as key recommendations that EC directed towards Serbia regarding the improvement of the accession process.

The new number of monthly Newsletter is available HERE, and you can access the previous numbers on this link.
