"National Forum on Youth Employment" Formed

Belgrade Open School gathered around 30 representatives of key public institutions, civil society organizations and the business sector at the constitutive meeting of the "National Forum on Youth Employment", within the regional project "Western Balkan Civil Society Organizations for Youth Employment Support – WeB4YES".

The first meeting of the "National Forum on Youth Employment" was held on April 27th, at Crowne Plaza hotel in Belgrade. Representatives of Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs of Serbia, National Employment Service, Serbian Chamber of Commerce, American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia, Serbian Association of Employers, National Association of Practitioners of Youth Work, Business Development Center Kragujevac, and many others took part in the constructive dialogue on this burning topic.

The goal of the meeting was the presentation of the project and “The draft report on youth employability and active labor measures for youth in Serbia“.

The aforementioned report will be presented at the "Regional Forum on Youth Employment" on June 20th and 21st in Skopje, Macedonia. At the Forum, policy recommendations directed to the improvement of youth employability and active labor measures focused on youth in the region will also be presented. The goal is to achieve common policy recommendations based on experiences from the Western Balkan region.

The project coordinator is Belgrade Open School, and partners in the project are Association for Democratic Prosperity - ZID (Montenegro), Lens (Kosovo), Association Beyond Barriers (Albania), Institute for Youth Development - KULT (Bosnia and Herzegovina), National Youth Council of Macedonia and Olof Palme International Center (Sweden).

The WEB4YES project will last from December 2017 to December 2020 and is supported by the European Union.
