Fifth in a row Youth2Business: "Economy and Youth"

The Belgrade Open School (BOS) participated in the fifth Youth2Business: "Economy and Youth" event in the framework of the third multi-congress in Serbia - Serbian Visions, held on November 25th, 2017 at the Radisson Blu Old Mill Hotel. The aim of this event is to connect young people with business representatives and thus enable them to connect and exchange experience, knowledge and information with successful people who represent a model of good business in Serbia.Danijela Grubnic, a coordinator of BOS's educational programs, welcomed participants and lecturers, thus opening the event. This year lecturers were Predrag Topic, Executive Director Planning and Organizational Development, Confluence Property Management, Ivana Mihajlovic, HR Manager of Direct Media, Damir Nadj, former Director of the Organization Sector at NIS and the current entrepreneur, Tamara Stanojevic, Project Coordinator and Career Advisor of the Belgrade Open School.

Participants and lecturers were divided into four groups and each group had 20 minutes to talk about a certain topic. After 20 minutes participants go to the next table and the whole process was repeated four times. In this way, the participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences with the career adviser of the Belgrade Open School Tamara Stanojevic on how to write a good CV, they talked to Predrag Topic about the importance of networking, with Damir Nadj they spoke about the advantages and disadvantages of working in company or having your own business, and Ivana Mihajlovic talked with participants about a business interview. On the other hand, the lecturers had the opportunity to present and promote their companies, but also to get to know young and ambitious people who represent potential employees.

Youth2Business: "Economy and Youth" has so far linked more than 200 participants and over 25 Serbian companies that represent a model of successful business. In this way, the young people had the opportunity to meet successful people, hear some useful information, learn something new and acquire skills that will help them on their career path.
