Students are obligated to write two essays related to courses they listen to, and at the end of each semester. The goal of essays writing activity is to develop critical thinking and expression of ideas based on argumentation. Additionally, essays should reveal the level of participation of students during classes and reading additional literature.
The following is the list of the topics for the Autumn Semester 2007:

Civic Culture and Values:

 1. Political dialogue and tolerance
 2. Game as a cultural element: between the rules and freedom
 3. Market Economy as an element of the democratic society
 4. Religious Community and civil society
 5. Political order in Serbia: democracy or what?

European Integration:


 1. The Supremacy of Community Law as an element of defining the EU
 2. Whereabouts of the Eastern European Frontier?
 3. The Social-economic Aspect of the EU economy
 4. Is the American Dream threatened by the European one?
 5. Crossroads of the Serbian Foreign Policy
