About DAUS

Welcome to the webpage of the Department of Advanced Undergraduate Studies (DAUS) of the Belgrade Open School.

Department of Advanced Undergraduate Studies (DAUS) organises a one-year educational programs for outstanding students since 1993. DAUS's activities are directed towards additional education and connecting selected students through multidisciplinary academic programs in areas of social sciences and humanities.

Until the academic year of 2006/2007 in the DAUS, there were two programs: "The Main Program" and "The Program of the European Union and the Balkans". Through adjusting their curriculum with the on-going reform of the universities in Serbia, the Belgrade Open School and the Department for Advanced Undergraduate Studies prepared a new one-year program of undergraduate study.

Multidisciplinary Undergraduate Studies were implemented by DAUS since the academic year of 2007/2008 with the aim to provide selected students with additional education and thus contribute to creating self-conscious and socially engaged young professionals and the formation of network of carriers and drivers of social change.

Alumni organisation of the Department for Advanced Undergraduate Studies exists since the year 1998 and today brings 973 students together. Alumni organization’s aim is to connect former students in order to strengthen and among themselves tightly connect the network of people who participate or will participate in social, political and economic life of Serbia.
